Serene Poolside Retreat in Worongary
Relaxation, privacy, and family fun
Nestled in the leafy suburb of Worongary, this stunning pool project was designed with relaxation and family in mind. Worongary, known for its peaceful atmosphere and greenery, is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy quality time at home—especially on weekends. The clients wanted a backyard that not only provided privacy but also created an oasis where they could unwind and the kids could still have space to play.
We achieved this balance by incorporating several key design features:
Exposed Aggregate Concrete
A sleek, durable finish that complements the natural beauty of the surrounding area while providing a practical surface for everyday use.
Mosaic Tile Band Waterline
A striking blue mosaic tile band lines the water, adding a touch of elegance and enhancing the pool’s tranquil atmosphere. These tiles reflect the sky, creating a serene visual effect that aligns with the oasis theme.
Natural Stone Coping
To further enhance the organic feel, we used natural stone coping around the pool, blending seamlessly with the lush landscape.
Tile Step Markers
We added subtle yet functional tile step markers to ensure safety without compromising the pool’s aesthetic appeal.
At the back of the pool, we constructed a retaining wall, designed to offer privacy and maintain the peaceful atmosphere of the space. This wall not only serves as a functional barrier but also adds a sculptural element to the design, enhancing the backyard oasis feeling the clients envisioned.
While focusing on creating a tranquil retreat, we also made sure to leave plenty of grass space for the kids to play, ensuring the design met the family’s needs for both relaxation and recreation.
