When you are choosing a pool builder, it is hard to judge quality from a website alone. Industry awards are one of the few independent ways to compare builders, because the work is judged by people who know what a well-built pool looks like.
Aqua Living Pools is a Gold Award winner at the SPASA Queensland Awards of Excellence. Here is what that means and why it matters.
What are the SPASA Awards of Excellence?
SPASA (the Swimming Pool and Spa Association) is the peak industry body for the pool and spa industry in Australia. Each year its Awards of Excellence recognise the best pool and spa projects across categories such as concrete pools, pool and spa combinations and projects in different price ranges. Entries are judged on design, workmanship, finish and how well the pool suits the home and site.
Our awards
- Gold Winner, 2021, Queensland: Pool and Spa Combination (Concrete)
- Finalist, 2021, National: Pool and Spa Combination (Concrete)
- Highly Commended, 2023, Queensland: Concrete Pool over $240,000
We are also a proud member of Master Builders Queensland. You can see the full list on our Awards & Accreditations page.
The award-winning Tallebudgera pool and spa
One of our best-known projects is a luxury infinity pool and spa in Tallebudgera, recognised as Best Pool and Spa Combination. The pool wraps around the home’s alfresco dining and entertaining pavilion, creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living, with the spa built into the design rather than added on.
What awards mean for your pool
Awards are not just trophies. The same standards that win awards go into every pool we build:
- Design that suits the site. Every pool is designed in-house using our 3D design studio, so it works with your yard, levels and views.
- Difficult builds done properly. Steep blocks, retaining and tight access are part of what we do. See our Bonogin infinity pool for an example.
- Attention to finish. Tile placement, coping, waterlines and equipment are planned before construction starts, not decided on the day.
